Faith Technologies to Host IDEAL Tools Competition

Faith Technologies TrainingIt’s no secret – being an electrician requires a lot of skills, knowledge and coordination. As a fun way for our apprentices, helpers, and instructors to showcase these skills, Faith Technologies has elected to participate in the IDEAL National Championship.

On Friday, September 30, we will be hosting a local competition at our manufacturing solutions facility, Excellerate, in Neenah, Wis.. IDEAL Tools will be coming to set up four stations in three of our apprenticeship classes where our employees will cut, strip, terminate and test using high-quality professional IDEAL tools, including wire connectors, wire strippers, screwdrivers, testers, and Lineman’s pliers.

Approximately 64 apprentices and helpers, and four instructors from Faith Technologies will be put to the test. Once they have completed the tasks, contestants will stop their timer, connections will be tested (final products must pass inspections), and scores will be recorded. Their times will then be compared to competitors from across the country.

Following round one of the competition, the top 67 professionals and 67 apprentices/students with the fastest times will advance to the semi-finals, where contestants will need to perform longer, more difficult tasks. Those that make it through the semi-finals will then advance to the finals where other more difficult, timed tasks will be tested.

The semi-finals and finals will both take place at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on November 11-12. Our competing apprentice, helpers, and instructors will have the chance to use their skills to compete for more than $500,000 in cash and prizes. But they’re not the only ones who could be rewarded – IDEAL Tools will also be giving the trade schools of the winning teams each $5,000, as well.

This is a great opportunity for our competing employees, and Faith Technologies is very excited to have IDEAL Tools come to host this event. Stay tuned for pictures and updates in mid-October, and best of luck to all the participants!
