Trade Association Programs Recognize Notable Projects of the Year

Each year leading professional trade associations give their members an opportunity to showcase their most notable recently awarded projects. They conduct award programs inviting members to submit an array of project information, which is then evaluated on design and craftsmanship, sustainability, innovation in construction techniques, difficult challenges, and client satisfaction.

Faith Technologies is a member of several trade associations, two of which recently completed their award programs: Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Wisconsin and Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin. Both associations have given Faith Technologies plenty of reasons to celebrate and be thankful.

In early December, I was fortunate to attend AGC’s Build Wisconsin award banquet where our company placed in the Specialty Contractor/Electrical category for the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, West Tower Expansion project in Wauwatosa, Wis. This award program stands as a testament to AGC of Wisconsin members’ skill, integrity, hard work, ingenuity, and commitment. The keynote speakers were strong, the crowd turnout was great, and overall it was an honor to sit amongst so many of our industry’s leading professionals.

Last week ABC of Wisconsin held its Projects of Distinction award banquet. This award program is designed to recognize the most distinct construction projects of all sizes in Wisconsin. Our company was more than pleased when we heard two of our projects were chosen as Gold level winners: Encircle Health in Appleton, Wis. for the Green Building category; the Milwaukee Job Corps Center in Milwaukee, Wis. for the Electrical over $1 Million category. The proud project managers that attended this award banquet had this to say:

“The ABC Projects of Distinction Awards Banquet was an enjoyable event to attend. It was very well organized and ABC did a very good job of showcasing all the projects up for an award. Winning the Gold Award in the Green Building category for the Encircle Health project is a testament to the hard work of our field staff, designers, estimators, and management. With a project goal of LEED Silver, Faith set out to help achieve this by utilizing some tried-and-true methods, as well as employing some new innovative techniques. In the end, with the help of our team, we were able to achieve a LEED Gold, only a few points short of Platinum.” – Brady Sturm, Project Manager, Encircle Health

“Attending the ABC Projects of Distinction and winning the Gold Award was a gratifying way to end a challenging project. But the best part of winning the award was having two representatives from the Job Corp facility present during this ceremony; this award meant just as much to them as it did to me because they are very proud of  “their state of the art facility.” – Brian Sparks, Project Manager, Milwaukee Job Corps Center

AGC reminds us that they “exist as an association to promote skill, integrity, and responsibility in the construction industry.” It is great that trade associations like this recognize the projects our companies devote so much time to. Faith Technologies is grateful for the many partnerships it has developed with the local and regional professional trade associations.
