Project Overview:

The Microbial Sciences Building is the cornerstone of a larger initiative to ensure the continued dominance of microbiology at UW-Madison. The MSB will be home to the Departments of Bacteriology, Food Microbiology & Toxicology (Food Research Institute), both in the College of Agricultural & Life Sciences and Medical Microbiology & Immunology in the Medical School.

Located in the heart of the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, the building is six stories tall, consisting of labs, offices, classrooms and HV sub station work. MSB was scheduled to be completed in 2.5 years, and even with the very tight site area and the delayed schedule, completed in March 2007. At peak, there were approximately 65 electricians/technicians working on this project.
