Watertown Memorial Hospital
The Watertown Memorial Hospital project included a new surgery addition in phase one, and a remodel of the existing surgery area in phase two. It consisted of an MRI unit, decontamination area, loading docks and the panel and distribution room located on the ground floor. Also included on the ground floor are four surgery rooms, one interventional room, two endoscopic rooms, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a lounge, pre-op rooms and several patient rooms.
A unique feature of this project is the roof-top air handling unit. Instead of a more traditional system with several smaller units, there is one single unit for all of the new addition. It measures 97 feet long and 27 feet wide. The unit was fabricated in Michigan and shipped to the site on 10 tractor trailers.
