Project Overview:

This project consisted of a 6-COF (Company Operations Facility) and necessary support facilities. The 61,000 square foot facility provides both administrative operations, arms vaults, warehousing, and supply facilities for unit personnel functions and storage of their equipment - plus a 10,900 square foot exterior covered training area. The facility serves as the primary staging, training, and deployment center for soldiers and their individualized TA-50 gear lockers. The design meets the UFC4-010-01, DOD minimum AT/FP Standards including blast resistant windows and frames.

Faith Technologies completed the design build, electrical, and specialty systems for this facility. Our specialty systems included telecommunication, mass notification, fire alarm, and lightning protection. This is also a LEED Silver certified project.

This project entailed analysis of “company” requirements based on needs, as well as future requirements. In addition, the project required extensive planning, cost/cost performance, feasibility studies, and LEED consulting specifically related to electrical engineering. Detailed Auto-CAD drawings were generated along with specifications for all areas associated with electrical and low voltage cabling. Final commissioning and testing were a part of this project as well.

This project underwent extensive pre-planning, which entailed color Auto-CAD drawings, site underground drawings, conduit schedules, panel schedule layouts, etc. It was completed utilizing our Work Smart program, complete with check and balances throughout the project to ensure the process and procedures were strictly adhered to.

The project had a strict time frame of completion, which we met without delays. The project involved integration into the bases existing electrical and communications grid so scheduled shut downs and coordination were necessary for seamless transitions during the construction process involving coordination meetings with engineering staff and mock up drawings. In addition, the design was under the Doctor Checks web review and had rigorous review periods and completion schedules (10-30-65-90-100% reviews).
