Project Overview:

The Shawnee Justice Center and Fire Station #2 are newly constructed facilities that sit on a $22 million, 85,000 sqare foot public safety campus. The 29 acre facility includes a fire station, municipal court and police headquarters. Although the design includes some traditional aspects, it is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certified facility incorporating improving efficiencies, conserving energy and minimizing waste. Value engineering of the lighting package saved thousands of dollars and still provided lighting that met the LEED requirements of light level output.

The Shawnee Justice Center incorporated a design build delivery method allowing the exterior to begin construction while the interior was still being designed.Faith Technologies was able to overcome was the multiple design changes after construction had begun. Construction started with 35 percent drawings and continued to adapt as decisions were finalized.

The Shawnee Justice Center service consists of a 480/277 volt 1600amp main service, manual transfer switch, two automatic transfer switches, 400amp UPS, four step down transformers and 20 sub panels. There is also a backup generator and a tap box for a mobile generator.

The Fire Station service consists of a 240/120 volt 400 amp main service, two automatic transfer switches and five sub panels. There is also a backup generator for the Fire Station also.
