Biodiesel Fuel Plant: 15,000 square feet

Project Overview:

Sanimax is Wisconsin’s largest biodiesel fuel plant that will produce twenty million gallons per year by converting tallow, greases and virgin oils, such as soybeans, into a clean burning fuel. Located in a 15,000 square foot building with a four-story distillation tower, the patented processing system with distillation process produces an ASTM spec biodiesel with a superior grade glycerin product. The plant has a 24-hour operation, 365 days a year with rail and road access.

Faith Technologies’ scope of work for this project included the design and layout of the electrical, security and low voltage wiring of the facility; installing wiring grounding; and assisting in the design of the process wiring and installation.

The facility has a 2,500 amp service with a 260 kw back up generator. There are approximately (95) 480 volt motors in the processing facility ranging from fractional horsepower to 75 horsepower. Motors are controlled via DeviceNet System. Instrumentation was designed by Nova Biosource Fuels LLC.
