Faith Technologies Assists Local Students in 2017 Competition

Faith Participates in Winnebago Region Junior Achievement Business Challenge

Menasha, Wis. (April 25, 2017) – Since 1995, Faith Technologies has proudly supported Junior Achievement in many capacities, most recently through volunteering at the Winnebago Region Junior Achievement Business Challenge. This year, five employees from Faith Technologies volunteered as business consultants to local high school students who worked to complete the competition. The event took place on March 22 at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Faith Technologies’ community relations manager Renee Torzala provided support to the winning team, comprised of two students from Appleton North High School.

“Both of these students were particularly strategic,” Torzala said. “They came in with a plan and stuck with it, making adjustments as needed when the market fluctuated, much like companies do in real life. It was a privilege to support them as they used their knowledge and skills to create a successful business model.”

The 2017 Winnebago Region Junior Achievement Business Challenge is an annual business strategy tournament where area high school students create fictional companies, and work with area business professionals to compete against other area students as they market a fictional high-tech hologram-producing device.

Participants were scored in each of the following categories: retained earnings, demand and demand potential, growth, productivity and market share.
