Faith Technologies Partners with Fincantieri Marinette Marine to Build Littoral Combat Ships

Menasha, Wis. (October 24, 2018) – Faith Technologies, a leading electrical planning, engineering, design and installation contractor, along with Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) and Lockheed Martin, have partnered to build additional Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) for the U.S. Navy.

Faith Technologies has been a proud supplier of electrical equipment to FMM for 17 years, and in 2013 began work with FMM and Lockheed Martin to install all the electrical systems on LCS needed by the U.S. Navy.

To date, Faith has completed work on seven ships and will be partnering on four additional vessels.

“The work required on these ships is unlike a typical electrical project,” Darin Williams, group leader at Faith Technologies, said. “Much of the work must be done in tight spaces, which makes safety a real priority.”

Faith upholds the highest safety standards and has implemented Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and fall protection processes, which have allowed Faith to achieve primary time productivity levels as high as 73 percent, despite onsite space constraints.

Faith has been able to increase efficiency and safety by using its Excellerate manufacturing services to measure and cut all the electrical cable and wiring before it arrives to the ship. This process helps increase productivity levels, since each ship contains nearly 9,000 cables for a total of approximately 1 million feet.
