Faith Technologies Project Spotlight: Azure on the Park
Due to the condo boom in the mid-2000s, another multifamily development is underway in Atlanta’s Midtown district. The city has seen a steady increase in high-rise apartment developments over the last few years which doesn’t seem to be tapering off – causing a boost in the local economy!
Contracted by Brasfield & Gorrie in 2016, Faith Technologies is providing electrical, fire alarm and low voltage services for the 11.7 million square foot tower. The new 25-story high-rise will include 329 luxury apartments, a rooftop pool, outdoor amenities, 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a 575,000 square foot parking deck.
At approximately 60% completion, the project team has already incorporated a variety of Faith’s value-added services to increase safety and efficiency. Faith’s engineering team created a 3D model of the project, and with the use of the robotic total station (RTS), Faith was able to map exact locations during the deck build. Additionally, the project utilized our in-house prefabrication/manufacturing group, Excellerate, to assemble the temporary power, light and electrical device kits, HVAC roof structure, and floor boxes which were used in roughing the decks.
One of the challenges with this project is the mixed structure comprised of both concrete and wood. With an effective construction plan and highly knowledgeable electrical team, we’ve successfully been able to install an electrical system that conforms to both types of structures.
