Road America 2012 Customer Appreciation Event
On Saturday, June 23, I attended Faith Technologies’ annual Road America Customer Appreciation Event. Faith customers, vendors, and their guests enjoyed an exciting day of racing the historic Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin track, which hosted the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Over 130 guests enjoyed dinner at Faith Technologies’ hospitality tent, located at one of the track’s best viewing locations, treacherous Turn 5.
Several race changing events took place at Turn 5, including when driver Jacques Villenueve forced Danica Patrick into the gravel during the race’s final lap, dropping her from 4th to 12th place. Brazilian driver Nelson Piquet Jr. took the checkered flag and his first NASCAR victory.
I must admit I’m not a big racing fan, but Road America is a fantastic venue that has something for everyone. After enjoying a tasty dinner at the Faith Technologies’ tent, my guests and I walked around the track, viewing the race from different areas and visiting some of the many vendors and car displays. We walked by Patrick Dempsey’s (Grey’s Anatomy actor) Mazda racing team’s area, but alas, no Dr. McDreamy sightings.
This annual event is a great opportunity for Faith Technologies to show our appreciation to our customers for their business. I would like to say a special “thank you” to our vendor partners who helped sponsor this year’s event including:
