Ovation 309

Downtown Madison continues to be a dynamic hub for living, business, and entertainment. In December 2013, Hovde Properties began construction on Ovation 309 – a new 14-story, 485,000 square foot, mixed-use building consisting of 248 luxury apartments, with retail and commercial space, located in the downtown Madison-area.

JH Findorff & Son, Inc. was the general contractor on this project, and all the trades involved worked closely with one another to make this project a success.

Faith Technologies’ scope of work included the installation of electrical systems, tele-data communications, fire alarm systems, access control systems, and AV raceways. We utilized Trimble Robotic Total Stations (RTS) and building information modeling (BIM) to locate all floor penetrations, floor boxes, and parking ramp lights to avoid damaging PT cables from core drilling.

Faith Technologies’ off-site manufacturing solutions facility in Neenah, Wis., was also utilized to send pre-terminated panels with all MC cable cut to length for each room, and to stage, sort, and deliver all electrical components for an apartment unit in one shipping tote for rough-in, and one tote for unit trim out.

All of the lighting for this project was also shipped to Faith Technologies’ off-site manufacturing solutions facility, where it was sorted, prepped and staged. This process was coordinated between our construction and manufacturing teams, which allowed for the lighting package to be delivered to the site on time, and helped the project team remain on schedule.

Ovation 309 as completed in June 2015, and today is one of Madison’s most notable landmarks.
