Faith Technologies Project Named to ABC of Wisconsin Projects of Distinction List

UW-Whitewater’s Starin Hall is First State-Owned LEED Residence Hall in Wisconsin

Menasha, Wis. (Feb. 9, 2012) Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin recently included Faith Technologies on its 2011 Projects of Distinction list for their work on University of Wisconsin – Whitewater’s Starin Hall. The full service electrical and technology systems contractor was recognized at the ABC of Wisconsin Projects of Distinction awards banquet on Feb. 8.

Starin Hall is the first residence hall to be built at UW-Whitewater in 40 years. It was constructed around the principles of a ‘universal design’ in order to create a independant living space for junior, senior and graduate students that is still part of the university’s campus.

Faith Technologies’ scope of work included a large wireless build-out with 70 access points, as well as all the electrical work including the lighting, fire alarm systems, access control, service installation, generator installation, medium voltage installation, voice and data systems and CATV.

The end result of the Starin Hall project was the creation of a residence hall that exceeded the expectations put forth by the design team, as well as the students and faculty. In 2010, two of the contractor’s projects were chosen as level Gold winners: Encircle Health and Milwaukee Jobs Corps Center.
