Community Involvement Spotlight

Community Involvement

American Heart Association

Heart Walks & Heart Ball

Each year, Faith Technologies sponsors heart walks in Kansas and Oklahoma, and encourages employees and their families to participate in an effort to promote healthy lifestyles and show support for the American Heart Association (AHA).

More than $41,000 was raised during the walk events to support the prevention of heart disease and stroke. In 2018, for the fifth consecutive year, Faith Technologies also supported the Kansas City and Madison, WI Heart Ball, which raised more than $1,000,000 for the AHA.

Fox Cities Environmental Learning Campus

Bubolz Nature Preserve

Faith Technologies was the leading corporate sponsor of the new 18,000 square foot environmental center at the Fox Cities Environmental Learning Campus at Bubolz Nature Preserve in Northeast Wisconsin. Faith provided marketing, in-kind electrical services, project leadership and financial support to help the non-profit organization become self-sustaining.

In addition, we partnered with Schneider Electric to build a state-of-the-art microgrid to power the building with renewable energy. The project not only provides free energy to the non-profit nature preserve, it educates students and visitors about the most advanced energy conservation methods in the world. As the first-of-its kind in the Midwest, the microgrid demonstrates the cleanest, most reliable and efficient energy solutions available today.

Community Involvement

Habitat for Humanity

Rock the Block Program

More than 40 Faith Technologies employees volunteered to paint houses, repair fences, do yard work and install windows on September 14 and 21, 2018. It was part of Habitat for Humanity’s two-week Rock the Block program, which included multiple home repair projects in four Northeast Wisconsin neighborhoods.

Rock the Block provides a path for homeowners, organizations and volunteers to come together to assist low-income residents with needed home repairs. The end result is a revitalized neighborhood and positive, community connections that are made throughout the process. Faith Technologies also provided a $20,000 donation to support the effort.

Other Charitable Support

American Cancer Society

Several of Faith Technologies’ offices participate in fundraisers for the American Cancer Society, including the Relay for Life in the Fox Cities, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Milwaukee, and Gunning for Hope in Madison.

In 2017, the Milwaukee branch sponsored a Making Strides team to honor an employee and raised over $3,500, one of the top ten in over 250 teams.

American Red Cross

In 2018, Faith Technologies made a contribution to the American Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts from Hurricane Harvey. Employees were also encouraged to support the relief effort.

Boys & Girls Clubs

Faith Technologies continues to support several youth organizations that focus on building our leaders of tomorrow. This includes the Boys & Girls Club in Kansas City, Boys & Girls Brigade and Youth-Go in the Fox Cities, and the ACE Mentor program in Atlanta.

Catalpa Health | Pop! Event

Faith Technologies proudly participated in the 2018 Pop! Event to support Catalpa Health. This pop-up fundraising event was held to support mental health and wellness for children.

Child Abuse Network

Several of Faith Technologies’ office locations coordinate charity drives that encourage employees to support various needs in their communities.

In 2017, the Tulsa branch location held a blanket drive for the Child Abuse Network (CAN) and collected 298 blankets, 195 stuffed toys, warm clothes and journals for the organization. The center provides services to children who have been victims of abuse in the Tulsa area.

Junior Achievement

Faith Technologies has a long tradition of being involved in Junior Achievement to help to provide professional mentorship to students at our home office location.

Each year, we sponsor fundraising events, such as the Business Challenge or Technical Careers Challenge. In addition, several employees volunteer one hour a week in area classrooms to help young students prepare for their future careers.

Life of Hope

In 2018, Faith Technologies sponsored the Celebrate Life organization, a suicide-prevention program in Southeast Wisconsin focused on educating people about risk factors, behaviors and intervention options through a message of hope and healing.

The organization has served more than 1,500 community members through one or more of their programs, and has saved countless lives through its efforts.

Mental Health America

In 2017, Mental Health America was chosen as the recipient of the $5,000 grant that was awarded in 2018 as a result of Faith Technologies’ annual holiday campaign.

For more than 30 years, Faith Technologies has provided in-kind donation support to Rawhide, a residential care and outpatient mental health services organization dedicated to helping at-risk youth and their families. Located in the heart of Wisconsin, Rawhide has changed the lives of thousands of youth that have either lived on the residential campus or received services through their outpatient counseling clinics.

Their faith-based program and servant leadership approach has achieved a 73%-80% success rate, one of the highest in the country for court-referred youth, according to Guidestar. To learn more about Rawhide, visit their website or order the book that tells the story of how it all began. Proceeds from the book support the mission of Rawhide.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin

In 2019, Faith Technologies’ annual charity golf outing to benefit Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin raised $6,813.00. The money collected provided 20,453 meals to feed the hungry throughout southern Wisconsin. Since 2004, this annual outing has raised more than $91,000 and 6,408 pounds of food for Second Harvest Foodbank.

Skills USA

As part of Faith Technologies’ 2018 holiday e-greeting tradition, customers and employees were invited to vote on one of four charities that align with our giving guidelines.

The six-week promotion engaged the public with a “What’s Your Why” inspirational video that highlighted Faith’s commitment to safety, innovation and community giving. With over 2,700 votes, Skills USA was the top choice for this year’s $5,000 contribution. The other three participating charities included:  American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, National Park Trust and Fisher House.

The Salvation Army

Each year, several of Faith Technologies’ offices participate in fundraisers supporting the Salvation Army, including the Red Kettle Campaign and Adopt-A-Family Program.

During the holiday season, employees and their families ring bells and Faith Technologies matches all donations received. Through the Adopt-A-Family Program, employees can purchase gifts for members of their adopted family. The program matches families in need with individual or group sponsors.

United Way

Faith Technologies held an annual employee fundraising campaign to support United Way at each of our locations. The 2018 workplace campaign generated $72,954.
