ConTech Roadshow Showcases Construction Technology Advances

Recently I had the opportunity to be a part of an innovative program called the JBKnowledge ConTech Roadshow, a regional gathering of construction professionals for a day of networking, educational sessions and interactive tech demos. This day of learning is a spin-off of a popular podcast called the ConTechCrew, which started as a trio of guys in the construction industry talking about upcoming advancements and technologies in the field.

I was honored to be a presenter at the roadshow event in Kansas City in July. I gave a presentation called “To BIM and Beyond,” where I talked about the importance of #BIM2Built at Faith Technologies and why it’s so critical in the construction industry.

Now, I’ve been asked to come back and present again on Faith’s BIM process at the Boston ConTech Roadshow this week, and will also be part of a panel discussion for the day’s events. This discussion will focus on “How do I become a Construction Technologist today?” Members of the panel will be asked to respond to three questions regarding their role in the industry:

1. How did you get to where you are now?
2. What is your best advice for the changing culture?
3. What is the one tool everyone should have in their technology toolbox?

The Boston ConTech Road Show will be held on Wednesday, September 12 at the Hilton Boston/Woburn from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the event, construction technology industry leaders will demo the latest technology including wearables, sensors, drones and more to experience the future of construction technology.
