Faces of Faith Technologies | Meet Blake, ERM Technician

At Faith Technologies, we have some amazing employees who make our culture unique. The Faces of Faith Technologies series aims to highlight the talented individuals who work with us. Each month, we’ll introduce you to several of these individuals so you can get to know the ‘Faces of Faith Technologies.’ We recently talked to Blake Enders, an ERM technician from Wisconsin. Here’s what he had to say:

What led you to work for Faith Technologies?

I joined the Army Reserves when I was 21, and trained in signal support systems with a base of electronic equipment, including line installation and wiring techniques. During a family dinner, I learned about Faith Technologies, and thought it would be a good opportunity for me to branch out from the military.

During my third year of apprenticeship I learned about the ERM role, and after shadowing another ERM technician, the role was offered to me. It’s an incredible position, and I feel extremely lucky. They placed a lot of trust and faith in my ability to deliver quality work, motivating me daily to do my best.

What does your position entail?

I work directly with clients on NFPA 70E assessments, infrared scanning, preventive maintenance and even electrical safety training. My typical tasks include tracing out and documenting electrical distribution systems, inspecting the physical condition of equipment to help maintain the system, and presenting solutions to mitigate overall risk.

What are some of the favorite things about your job?

I love the flexibility my position extends to me. Learning how to manage each job and build relationships with customers is something I look forward to each day.

What’s the most challenging part of your position?

The trickiest part is learning how to juggle the administrative tasks for every job, such as managing hours, budgets and accompanying paperwork.

What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of work?

I love being in the garage; working on cars and modifying them is a hobby of mine. My dream car is the Nissan GTR, but I’m currently saving for a C6 Corvette Z06. When I’m not in the garage, my wife and I enjoy traveling, hiking, whitewater rafting, mountain climbing and skiing. From Boulder, Colorado, to Hong Kong and St. Lucia, we’ve been around the world and continue to plan trips. We’re foodies and enjoy trying new foods, but we really love tacos. The best tacos we’ve had so far were in Texas.

Do you have any aspirations, either inside or outside of work, that you’d like to share?

I’d like to continue growing within my role and become self-reliant, expand Faith’s customer base… and purchase a Corvette!
