Faith Technologies Apprentices Put Skills to the Test

Faith Technologies’ apprenticeship program has a long history of fielding graduates who go on to successful careers within the company. Their paths after graduation lead to journeyman electricians in the field, to project leaders and managers, with many reaching senior leadership positions within the organization such as our current CEO, Mike Jansen.

Prior to their graduations and future careers, this year’s third- and fourth-year apprentices put their skills to the test in our annual Craft Competition, held December 12-13 at Faith Technologies University. Faith hosts this internal competition every year to give our apprentices the chance to test their knowledge and skills against their fellow apprentices, while keeping safety a number one priority.

Check out the video below to hear from our talent development leadership and the competing apprentices, and to see some footage from this year’s competition.

Congratulations to our 2019 Craft Competition winner, Ryan Klassy! Ryan will go on to represent Faith Technologies at the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) National Craft Championship to compete against the top 30 electrical apprentices in the nation. With approximately 45,000 electrical apprentices nationwide, being named one of the top 30 is a high honor for both our company, as well as the apprentice.

We’d also like to extend our congratulations to all of this year’s competitors, including our second and third place apprentices, Justin Bohl and Peter Heinen!

After winning Faith’s Craft Competition two years ago, I couldn’t be more excited for these students. This opportunity opened a lot of doors for me in my career, and being able to train a room full of apprentices on how and why things operate has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career thus far.
