Faith Technologies’ Past and Future Blend at New Training Center
In support of Faith Technologies’ growing apprenticeship programs and overall learning and development efforts for employees, we are excited to announce the re-opening of our Appleton, Wisconsin location as our new Appleton Training Center, a part of the newly named Faith Technologies University. This 35,000+ square-foot facility currently houses six classrooms and three training labs, with plans for additional build-out in early 2018. It is the training hub for more than 400 of the company’s 650 electrical and specialty systems apprentices.
When I spend time in our new Appleton Training Center, I can’t help but get a little nostalgic thinking about how the building has changed over the years. Faith Technologies, formerly known as Town & Country Electric, moved into this building in 1988. At that time, the company was much smaller (approximately 250 people) and performed work mainly within Wisconsin. Today, we have more than 2,500 employees at more than 20 locations across the country!
The building represents the roots of our company, and it is where our story begins. In fact, several of Faith’s current leaders got their start as apprentices working in this very building. Today they are the ones dedicating it entirely to training and developing the leaders of tomorrow.
As a part of our company’s ground-up growth strategy to hire and develop future leaders, we added more than 300 apprentices to our program this year. Next year, we have a goal to add an additional 350 apprentices to our electrical and specialty systems apprenticeship programs.
As we continue to redefine what’s possible, we can’t help but feel a bit nostalgic about the blending of our past and our future at Faith Technologies University. We can’t wait to see what the next 30 years bring!
