Faith Technologies Project Spotlight: Camelback Lodge and Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark
When we learned we’d be playing an integral role in the construction of what would be the largest indoor waterpark resort ever constructed in the United States in a single phase; we can’t say we weren’t excited!
The Camelback Lodge and Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark, located at the base of Camelback Mountain in Tannersville, PA, is a new 453-suite lodge coupled with the largest indoor family entertainment center and indoor waterpark in the Northeast.
The lodge has 435,263 square feet of floor space including: guest rooms and suites, conference space, adult spa and fitness centers, restaurants, and entertainment space. The indoor waterpark has an additional 143,567 square feet of floor space including: 13 slides, seven pools, artificial wave ride, lazy river, indoor/outdoor spa, multiple food and beverage areas and private cabanas.
Faith Technologies provided the electrical design for the indoor waterpark, as well as the overall project management and onsite supervision of the entire lodge and indoor waterpark projects. One unique feature was the waterpark light package. It consists of primarily LED fixtures that are controlled via computer time clock, or manually through a touch screen on an as-needed-basis, making the lighting package extremely energy efficient.
Through a team effort between our crew, Horizon Construction, and George J. Hayden, this project was able to open in spring 2015, only a month beyond the original schedule despite the harsher-than-average winter temperatures and snow accumulation.
It was truly an honor to be part of this project. Be sure to plan your next community or company retreat to this fun-filled destination.
