Faith Technologies Project Spotlight: SkyHouse Midtown
Conveniently located in the center of Midtown Atlanta, is the SkyHouse Midtown – a beautiful new 24-story high-rise building featuring residential units of one, two, and three bedrooms, with high-end finishes and floor-to-ceiling glass. The signature “SkyHouse,” located on the 24th floor, features a clubroom, fitness area, and outdoor plazas that include a swimming pool, fireplaces, covered outdoor lounges, and 360-degree views of the Atlanta skyline.
Faith Technologies’ scope of work on this 350,000 square foot building included the installation of the utility services, custom residential unit fixtures, and general commercial lighting throughout.
Our utility services included (1) 1600 amp switchboard for building power, (1) 4000 amp and (1) 3000 amp switchboards for the two residential busway risers, (1) 1000amp for retail service, (1) 800 amp emergency service with a 450 KW generator and (1) 400 amp for the parking deck service. Low voltage structured cabling was provided for the residential units allowing for fiber, voice, data, and coax providers. CCTV, access control, and audiovisual systems were installed for the security of public spaces, back-o-house, and parking deck.
The building is served with both copper and fiber backbones from the utility service providers. Horizontal cabling is fiber, copper with IDF closets on every four floors of the 24-story building. Each unit is served with Cat5e and coax for Voice, Data and CATV or ISP.
In addition to this project, Faith Technologies has been awarded contracts for SkyHouse projects in Austin, Houston, and Dallas, Texas; Tampa, Florida; and an additional tower in Atlanta, Georgia. The SkyHouse complexes are constructed on an extremely aggressive schedule using LEAN construction techniques, and we are excited for the high-rise construction opportunities ahead.
