Fiscal Fitness at Faith Technologies
Statistics show that financial woes are the greatest cause of stress. A recent study by ComPsych reported that 92% of Americans are losing sleep over their finances. Within the last few years, Faith Technologies has started to incorporate financial wellness into our corporate wellness program, as part of our overall well-being approach. Optimal health is much more than just physical wellness – mental and financial health need to be top of mind as well. Financial wellness programs offer employees the opportunity to become better educated on a range of financial topics that could otherwise be stressing them out.
We get it – finances are a major stressor. That’s why Faith Technologies participated in America Saves Week for the second year during the week of February 22, 2016. America Saves Week is a national effort to set a savings goal, making a savings plan, and save automatically. It’s an annual opportunity for organizations to promote good savings behavior and a chance for individuals to assess their own saving status. Daily emails were sent to all Faith Technologies employees during America Saves Week with helpful tips, articles and tools to help improve their fiscal fitness. Just like your health, individuals should assess their savings and financial status each year to see where improvements can be made.
Faith Technologies encourages employees to take advantage of the company’s 401(k) company match program in order to save for retirement. The company will match 50% of the first 4% of an employee’s individual contribution to their 401(k) retirement plan. Faith Technologies also offers a program called GoalMaker through Prudential Retirement. With GoalMaker, you can select your investment style (conservative, moderate, or aggressive) and your expected retirement age and you’ll be invested in a portfolio made up of the Plan’s investment options that’s suited to your investment style at no additional cost.
Faith Technologies’ wellness program is all about supporting our employees and their families. We hope that by providing the necessary tools and resources to better their overall well-being, they can improve their quality of life. Being financially fit is imperative for everyone – no matter how much money they have. It’s about taking control over your finances.
“You must gain control over your money or the lack of it will forever control you.”
