Faith Technologies Pledges $5,000 Matching Donation to Light Up the Fox

Menasha, Wis. (Nov. 29, 2012) – Faith Technologies, a full-service electrical and specialty systems contractor, has announced that it will pledge a $5,000 matching donation to Light Up the Fox for the 2013 Riverfront Light Display Project. The company’s pledge will match donations given before the end of 2012.

Light Up the Fox is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to educate people on the history of the Fox River and raise awareness about the river’s role in the development of the community and it’s impact on the future of the Fox Valley. Organizers will do this by putting up temporary new technological, energy efficient lighting displays along the river.

“The lighting displays will incorporate involvement throughout the Fox Valley community, especially youth, as they will help design these displays,” said Matt Sabee, Faith Technologies’ Appleton Service Manager and Light Up the Fox board member. “It’s important for those who live in our area or who are thinking about living in our area, to be educated about the benefits of the river and its history, and the technical innovations that have occurred on the river front in the past and in the future.”

The 2013 Riverfront Light Display Project will launch in December 2013, and will feature an illuminated display at Atlas Mill, lighted sculptures throughout Vulcan Park and an illuminated display with music at the Paper Discover Center. Light Up the Fox is on a five-year growth plan that aims to grow into a source of revenue for other riverfront organizations with similar goals.

So far in 2012, $7,600 has been raised for the initiative. Faith Technologies has been a sponsor since Light Up the Fox’s inception, and they have previously covered the 501c3 application expenses.
