Milwaukee employees Jon Miller, Mark Schmitt, and Jason Eiting, as well as Wellness Coordinator Alyssa Kwasny accept the Milwaukee Business Journal’s Healthiest Employer Award for the large company category.Milwaukee, Wis. (Nov. 5, 2014) – Faith Technologies, a leading electrical and specialty systems contractor, received a “Healthiest Employer Award” presented by Milwaukee Business Journal during an awards luncheon held at The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee on Oct. 31. The award was presented to 31 Milwaukee-area companies in small-, medium- and large-sized categories based on the number of employees.

Faith Technologies was named a healthiest employer within the large-sized category and was recognized for its efforts to promote health and wellness within the organization.

“As a company we realize that by focusing on employee health and wellness, it results in a healthier, happier and more productive workforce,” said Alyssa Kwasny, human resources and wellness coordinator. “We’re honored to be recognized by the Milwaukee Business Journal, and we look forward to offering our employees opportunities to participate in wellness initiatives for many years to come.”

Faith Technologies has many health-related programs in place, including semi-annual newsletters; lunch and learn sessions; reimbursements for flu vaccines, health club costs, run/walk events and recreational sports fees; annual health-risk assessments; a nicotine-cessation program and free oatmeal, fresh fruit and green tea in the break rooms. Employees who hit their wellness goals can also earn incentives.

Healthiest Employer Awards were distributed based on responses to a 75-question survey administered by Milwaukee Business Journal partner, Healthiest Employers, LLC. Companies were ranked based on their responses regarding wellness programs and other factors.

In addition to being honored at the awards luncheon, Faith Technologies and the other winning companies were also featured in the Milwaukee Business Journal’s Oct. 31 issue.
