Faith Technologies Recognized with ABC of Georgia’s 2016 STEP Platinum Award
Atlanta (Aug. 23, 2016) – Faith Technologies, a leading electrical, engineering and technology systems contractor, was recently presented with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Georgia’s 2016 STEP award in the platinum-level category for their unwavering commitment to safety and safety training. The company was honored at the 2016 Excellence in Construction and Safety Awards Gala, held on July 20 at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta.
Faith Technologies received a platinum-level rating for the Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) award, which recognizes companies that demonstrate the highest commitment to implementing effective safety practices in the office and on the job site. The program, which was developed and written by contractors for contractors, objectively evaluates safety programs based on 20 key elements including pre-planning for safety on job sites, management commitment, safety training and resources committed to safety.
“Faith Technologies upholds the highest safety standards to produce the best quality and results while making sure our employees have the training and resources to ensure their safety on and off the job site,” Joe Amara, Safety Director of Faith Technologies’ Atlanta branch, said. “Our employees undergo more than 39 hours of safety training per year, which is 20 percent more than the industry average, and we’re proud to report that our 0.46 experience modification rate (EMR) is lower than industry average of 1.0. We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to making safety a top priority through ongoing education and training.”
In 2015, Faith Technologies was awarded the gold-level STEP Award from ABC of Georgia and earlier this year was recognized with the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America’s Construction Safety Excellence Award in the specialty contractor division.
