Faith Technologies Receives ABC of Oklahoma’s 2017 Excellence in Construction Award

Tulsa, Okla. (Dec. 8, 2017) – Faith Technologies, a leading electrical planning, engineering, design and installation contractor, was recently recognized with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Oklahoma’s 2017 Excellence in Construction Awards for their work on the River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

One of Oklahoma’s leading gaming facilities, River Spirit is the largest private Arkansas River Development in Tulsa’s history. The project added a 27-story, 483-room luxury hotel, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Restaurant, 2,500-seat event center, resort style pool with swim up bar, lighted jogging/biking trail, an outdoor bar, six-level parking garage, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, conference center, and 50,000 square foot gaming floor.

Faith Technologies’ scope of work included power distribution, LED lighting and controls, complete fire alarm system, and rough in for security, data cabling, and access control. The new service for the expansion included two 2.5MW/15KV generators, 1200a paralleling switchgear, and four 2500KVA unit substations (two on the lower level and two on level 26 of the hotel tower) that feed four 4000A-277/480V services. This, in combination with a 500KW and 150KW UPS system, provides 100% electrical backup to the entire facility.

Work on the 796,000 square-foot project began in 2014 and was completed in February 2017, in partnership with Manhattan Redstone, a joint venture between Manhattan Construction Group and RedStone Construction.

The Excellence in Construction Awards program is designed to publicly recognize the quality and innovation of merit shop construction, and to promote ABC’s belief that a construction project based on price, ability and performance produces the highest quality and most cost-effective project.

Faith Technologies was also presented with the platinum-level Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Award for its commitment to safety and for completing 2016 with OSHA recordable rates better than the industry average, including time lost. The company then received the platinum-level rating for the award for the ongoing development and growth of its high-quality safety program in 2017.
