Neenah, Wis. (Feb.19, 2019) – Faith Technologies, an energy expert and national leader in electrical planning, engineering, design and installation, was recognized for its work on two innovative construction projects in Wisconsin from 2018. Faith Technologies received two silver Projects of Distinction Awards from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin for:
- Delavan-Darien School District: Faith Technologies’ Energy Efficiency team was called upon to perform an investment-grade lighting efficiency audit at Delavan-Darien School District in Delavan, Wisconsin. The audit was performed on eight buildings within the district and a variety of cost-saving measures were identified. The lighting strategy the school district chose to use under the guidance of the Faith Technologies team has proven to reduce the district’s baseline energy consumption by 55 percent annually, with an additional savings of 15 percent or more due to dimming and photocontrols.
- Bubolz Nature Preserve: Faith Technologies was instrumental in the planning of a new state-of-the-art 18,000 square foot environmental center for Bubolz Nature Preserve in Appleton, Wisconsin. In partnership with Schneider Electric, Faith also designed and built a first of its kind t, clean energy microgrid which utilizes solar energy, battery storage, hydrogen generation and storage, and natural gas to operate independently of the traditional energy grid.
“These projects were significant for Faith Technologies,” Mike Jansen, CEO of Faith Technologies, said. “We used clean energy sources to create the microgrid at Bubolz Nature Preserve and our team really enjoyed our partnership with Schneider Electric for that project. We also provided the Delavan-Darien School District with cost savings by using cleaner, more energy-efficient products. It’s exciting to be recognized by ABC of Wisconsin for our work in these areas.”
The Projects of Distinction Awards were presented on Feb. 14 at the Wilderness Glacier Canyon Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells. Nearly 400 attendees learned about the many high-quality projects that ABC member contractors delivered for businesses throughout the state.
