107th Midwest Food Processors Association, Inc. & 84th Annual Processing Crops Conference
Faith Technologies was one of over 170 exhibitors at the 107th Midwest Food Processors Association Convention (MWFPA) and 84th Annual Processing Crops Conference held November 29 to December 1, 2011. With over 900 people in attendance, our booth was well attended by a number of food processors based in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Food processors, primarily operations management, attended to get updates on new technologies and services, as well as government regulations and safety.
This year’s event was held at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, and had a much better turnout than last year’s event in Green Bay. Many were pleased with the meeting format and activities, and found the Wisconsin Dells location to be quite convenient. Attendance was boosted by the large turnout from a few select food processing companies including Del Monte, Bush Beans, Seneca Foods, Allen Packaging, and Lakeside Foods.
Faith Technologies was the only electrical contractor represented at the show. Our participation with the “big prize raffle” drove several food processor visits to our booth, and we had the opportunity to meet a number of other exhibitors here in the upper Midwest.
In addition, Brian Downie, Faith Technologies’ ESP Group Manager, conducted a NFPA 70E seminar, which reviewed the key changes and updates to the new 2012 code release. Overall, the MWFPA show was a success. We are excited to see what next year brings for our food processing customers, and look forward to the 2012 conference.
