Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Data Center
The Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin completed a 5,000 square foot data center project.
Faith Technologies’ scope of work included the electrical and specialty systems. All cabling, fiber and copper, was routed through overhead ladder racking dedicated for specifically that purpose.
From the data center’s core cabinets out of Facility MDF, there are 96 strands of SM fiber and 24 strands of 50um OM4 MM fiber. There is also 200 pair of copper connections back to the MDF. From the MDF, an equal amount of fiber connects out to the owner’s network.
There are 3,504 strands of 50um OM4 fiber, for over 7,000 terminations, throughout the data center. This fiber connects 46 individual server cabinets, as well as fiber distribution cabinets. All of this fiber is the Systimax instaPATCH pre-terminated cabling solution, connected to high density LC cassettes. There is also 144 Cat 6 copper cables that interconnect each POD back to the core.
